Ted & Jane  live near Seattle, WA. where they work effectively as a team. Since their marriage in 1974, hospitality has been an intentional avenue of ministry and their home has become a safe place where people are refreshed and restored.  Ted and Jane bring the power of coaching into their reconciliation ministry.

The Hutchinsons are guided by Biblical principles of work and stewardship, believing that work is a gift given by God to provide for their needs and for the needs of others. Through hard work and discipline their three children attended Wheaton College (IL) without borrowing money to finance their education. As a family they have been full time caregivers for Ted’s mom (Alzheimer’s) and Jane’s dad (Parkinson’s) over a period of seventeen years. The experience and benefits remain a major part of their story.

Jane and Ted founded and directed BrierCrest School. This educational alternative offered the best of both individual and group learning experiences with an emphasis on Christian worldview and character development thorough academic and practical work experiences. In this context they experienced an unparalleled opportunity to coach individuals and families in areas that went far beyond the academic concerns of the classroom.

Jane and Ted work hard at staying connected with their family and friends all over the world.

Jane  was raised on the East coast. Early on, her vocational direction was set toward elementary education, leading to creative and satisfying years in public and private education as teacher and administrator. For more than forty years, as a pastor's wife, Jane has been coaching and mentoring women of all ages. Jane loves to travel, reads voluminously, makes time to scrapbook the family heritage and go thrifting.

Ted, ThM  grew up in a pastor’s home. While on a summer missions trip with Wheaton College he discovered his passion for teaching and encouraging people to grow in Christ. Ted has forty years' experience in pastoral ministry and leadership development with profit and non-profit organizations. His interests include travel, boating, camping, railroading and experimenting with pasta.
